ISS strengthens its food services capability in the Pacific

Founded in 2006, Cater Plus serves more than 100 client locations across New Zealand and employs over 750 people. The business has built a strong reputation for quality food services, trusted partnerships and a people-centred approach. Cater Plus will continue to operate as usual, with a phased integration approach designed to ensure continuity for employees and customers.
The acquisition marks an important step in ISS’ long-term growth strategy in the Pacific, strengthening its food services capability in priority sectors and supporting its ambition to deliver more integrated solutions for customers.
Food services play an increasingly central role in the experience of workplaces, healthcare and public sector environments. By bringing together Cater Plus’ specialist expertise with ISS’ scale, systems and integrated service model, the combined capability will enhance ISS’ ability to support customers with complex, multi-site operations and evolving service expectations.
ISS Australia and New Zealand Chief Executive Officer, Stuart Rose, said the acquisition reflects ISS’ commitment to building long-term capability and value for customers.
“Cater Plus is a highly respected New Zealand business with a strong reputation for quality, care and service. We see a close alignment between our organisations in culture, values and approach to service. This acquisition strengthens our food services capability and supports our strategy to deliver integrated, high-quality solutions for customers across key sectors.
“We are delighted to welcome the Cater Plus team to ISS and look forward to working together to build on the strengths of both organisations,” Stuart said.
“In recent years, ISS has continued to invest in strengthening its presence and capabilities in Australia and New Zealand, and we will continue to pursue opportunities that enhance our geographic reach and service expertise in key markets.”
Cater Plus Founder Paul Hodge said joining ISS provides a strong platform for future growth.
“Becoming part of ISS marks an exciting new chapter for Cater Plus. It allows us to build on our established strengths while accelerating investment in our people, services and capabilities. We look forward to working alongside ISS to deliver even greater value for our clients and to create new opportunities for our team,” Paul said.
