ISS impact on local communities recognised by IAOP and The Rockefeller Foundation
ISS has won an Impact Sourcing Influencer award for providing career and development opportunities for underserved populations.
The Global Impact Sourcing Award (GISA) evaluates and recognises organizations that intentionally hire and provide career development opportunities to people who otherwise have limited prospects for sustainable employment. Impact sourcing can provide the start to a meaningful career and upward social mobility.
ISS has been recognised for its investments in diversity & inclusion efforts, in particular in the Netherlands. ISS’s Inclusion Department consists of a dedicated team of professionals, including Inclusion managers, internal job coaches, and trainers on the job who devote all their efforts to managing the supply and demand aspects of people who otherwise have limited prospects for sustainable employment.
Joseph Nazareth, Head of ISS Group Health, Safety & Environment and Corporate Responsibility, says:
“Our responsibility to both our own people and the people we serve is core to our DNA. We have a proud heritage of fairness, equality and inclusion, providing opportunities for people who otherwise might have difficulties entering – and staying on – the job market. But we are also on a journey to strengthen our diversity and inclusion. In addition to our many successful local initiatives around the world, we are driving a global agenda in 2020 that aims to tackle gender balance in leadership.”
Across the globe, ISS invests in social innovation projects in cooperation with regional labor markets, local and national government and other entities. These projects have generated significant added value to ISS customers, employees and their families, and benefits for society as a whole.
The Global Impact Sourcing Award (GISA), in partnership with The Rockefeller Foundation, presents this global award recognizing organizations that are leaders in Impact Sourcing at the 2020 Outsourcing World Summit (OWS20) in Orlando, Florida, February 18.
