ISS launches The Whole Grain restaurant at VELUX®

ISS, a global leader in workplace experience and facility management, is delighted to announce the launch of a brand-new catering offer as part of its global partnership with VELUX A/S.

The restaurant, which opened its doors on Monday 2 March, is ISS UK’s first mobilisation of its The Whole Grain brand at a client site.

The Whole Grain has been introduced at VELUX UK head office in Glenrothes, Scotland. This follows the go-live in November 2025 of fully integrated facilities services at the site, including hard FM, housekeeping, cleaning, pest control, grounds maintenance and interior planting. Collectively, these services ensure a safe, efficient and welcoming environment that supports VELUX’s vision for sustainability, innovation and the creation of healthy buildings.

The partnership between ISS and VELUX – a Danish manufacturing company and global leader in designing innovative roof windows, blinds and shutters – spans 29 locations in 13 countries across Europe.

Designed as an appealing alternative to a high street meal deal or a packed lunch, The Whole Grain offers everything today’s professional is looking for in an in-house restaurant. The brand has been built to feed employee wellness through good, nutritious food that puts a smile on people’s faces and offers great value for money. It harnesses the opportunities food offers to bring people together and support a thriving and collaborative work culture.

At the core of The Whole Grain’s food offer are its build-your-own nourish bowls. Customers can choose from an array of ever-changing options, including on-trend global cuisines, gut-friendly and plant-based choices, to build a vibrant and delicious lunch. The brand’s wholesome classics incorporate comfort food favourites with a twist, such as burgers, lasagne and fish and chips, many of which are Coolfood accredited, meaning they meet sustainability and nutritional criteria, so they’re better for the planet and for diners.

Sustainability is a core focus of The Whole Grain brand, with a commitment to sourcing seasonal, ethical produce and always striving to tread a lighter footprint. As part of this focus, ISS has introduced full carbon labelling at VELUX. Using data provided by sustainability partner Klimato, all dishes are marked on menus from A (very low carbon emissions) to E (very high carbon emissions), making it easy for customers to make sustainable food choices.
