ISS celebrates milestone graduation of project management apprentices

ISS is thrilled to mark the graduation of 25 dedicated colleagues following the completion of the Association for Project Management Associate Project Manager (APM) apprenticeship programme.

The graduation ceremony, held on 13 November, honoured project managers from across the business who have completed rigorous training across five diverse cohorts, blending classroom-based sessions with flexible online learning over 14 months.

Delivered in partnership with GLP Training, the UK's specialist apprenticeship provider, and aligned with Skills England standards, the programme has helped graduates develop essential skills in planning, leadership, and communication, while learning to assemble motivated, integrated teams with the right qualifications, experience and clearly defined roles, responsibilities, and reporting lines. The programme will help to ensure ISS colleagues are future-ready to navigate new workplace challenges and deliver exceptional results in their work.

As APM-accredited professionals, graduates are now equipped to define and deliver projects with precision — identifying what needs to be achieved, how it will be done, timelines, budgets, and collaborative outcomes with client teams.

Enda Nally, Head of Capital Projects at ISS UK and Ireland, said:

“At ISS, we believe that investing in our people's growth is key to unlocking innovative solutions for our clients. We’re incredibly proud of our colleagues for completing their journey through the APM programme, which will not only help to elevate their careers, but will strengthen our ability as a business to create workplaces that are efficient, sustainable, and truly people-centred.

“Thank you to our partners at GLP Training for their support during this process; we're incredibly proud to see these leaders emerge, ready to champion project success across our operations."

Gemma Parsons, CEO at GLP Training, said:

“At GLP Training, we’re incredibly proud to celebrate this milestone with ISS. The success of these cohorts reflects not only their dedication and collective growth throughout the project management programme, but also the individual impact and progression each person has made along the way.

“ISS’s continued investment in developing their people has created a culture where talent truly thrives, and it is a privilege to partner so closely on that journey, we look forward to continuing it together.”
